Malaysia's very own Sundown run is still open for registration. Those who have not yet signed up for the 12km or 21km runs can still do so. Registration closes on 11th June 2014. Monster Dash 2 - Open for Registration!

The Monsters are back!

Last year runners were given a "scare' by monsters. This year the monsters are back to do more scaring. The question is, who wants to be scared? For those who didn't take part in the first Monster Dash, click here to read about it. The Monster Dash Charity Run 2 is actually themed around the Halloween Celebration in October 2014. It promises to be a fun-filled run with zombies and monsters trying to “scare” the participants while on the run. It is a 5km run distance around the city centre starting and ending at Le’ Park (behind Civic Centre), Kuching. The event will be held at 7pm on 4th October 2014 (Saturday). The objective of this 5km fun run is to raise funds for 3 charitable associations, namely: Sarawak Children's Cancer Society (SCCS), the Society for Critically Sick Kids (S.O.S. Mount Stong International Climbathon 2014

 

Who is up for another climbathon?

Mount Stong (1,442m) awaits the anyone who is up for the challenge. This climbathon also involves 14.5km of legwork. Situated in Jelawang, Dabong, Kelantan, this event will be held on 21st June 2014. Those interested to know more about the event and also how to register can click here.

Affin Bank Heritage Walk 2014

6.2km Esplanade Walk

Need another t-shirt to add to your collection? That's a joke, all right? It's not all about the t-shirt or the medal, or the prize, some of us actually just like to participate. The Affin Bank Heritage Walk is an event for everyone who wants to enjoy the cultural landscape in George Town, Penang.  Entrance is free. Last year there were 1,200 participants. This year they are expecting 2,000 walkers, and have readied that number of t-shirts too. The walk will start at 8am on 8th June 2014. There will also be zumba dance, lucky draws, colouring contest, exhibitions, free medical check-up and various other activities during the event. Please note that contributions would be made to the St. Nicholas Home and Wisma Yatim Perempuan Pulau Pinang, as a community social responsibility initiative by the bank. LLG Run 2014

5km and 10km run

The LLG Run will be held on 26th October 2014 at Padang Merbok, Kuala Lumpur. The run is to raise funds for LLG Cultural Development Centre. For those who don't know, the LLG Run is about propagating the core values of the late Lim Lian Geok, that being "abundance in diversity, prosperity in co-existence." This run is also about promoting the harmonious coexistence of different races and social strata, and to encourage sports and create a healthy life. Runners can choose to run either 5km or 10km. The 10km run has a veteran category. For the 5km there is also a school students category.  Choose your categories wisely as the top ten finishers in each category will get a trophy. Larian Bendang (Kedah) 2014

11km run in Kedah

Larian Bendang (Kedah) 2014 will be held at 7am on 31st May 2014 at Stadium Darul Aman. The distances to be run are as follows: 11km (Veteran and Senior), 7km (Secondary students), 3km (Primary students) and 2km (VIP). Registration closes on 29th May 2014. Centro Tower Run 2014

Run 12km or climb 567 steps

Cannot get enough of stair climbing and need a run thrown into the mix too? Well look no further than the inaugural Centro Tower Run and also Centro Klang Run up the tallest tower in Klang. The Centro Tower Run will be held on 23rd August 2014, starting at 7.30am. Runners will be released in batches. The finish line will be on the 31st floor. There will be cut-off timing for each batch. Runners who miss the cut-off time will not be allowed to continue. Early bird registration closes on 31st May 2014 or limited to the first 500 entries.  The Centro Klang Run is on 24th August 2014, starting at 6.44am and the distance is 12km for the open and veteran categories. The 6km category is open to school boys and girls. There is also a 6km fun run open to anyone 18 years and above. A special family fun run is included for kids (4-9 years) and covers 800m.
