Maniac #29 from Malaysia
Am proud to announce that the Race Director for the upcoming Kuching Marathon (17th August 2014), Philip YK Chua, has been accepted as a Marathon Maniac. The Maniacs (click http://www.marathonmaniacs.com/) are a group of runners who are insanely passionate about running full marathons. Philip follows on the heels of Shannon Francis Lee Bala (Maniac #8234) and yours truly (Maniac #7614). There are now officially three Maniacs in the city of Kuching. All told Malaysia has 29 Marathon Maniacs according to the Insane Asylum database. As of today there are 8,258 Marathon Maniacs all over the world. The biggest concentration is in America with 6,163. The rest of the Maniacs are scattered all over the world. Malaysia are in 5th spot! Anyone who is crazy about running full marathons can also become a Maniac if they want to. This year Philip ran three FMs - Standard Chartered Kuala Lumpur Marathon, Penang International Bridge Marathon and Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore. Philip has run six FMs to date, and achieved his PB of 4:04 at SCKLM 2012.
