Spring run open for registration on 16th December!
Kuching's biggest run is back for the third year running. Be sure to register quickly to take advantage of the early bird rates. This year the
Spring Live Active Run promises to be the most happening ever. A new ekiden run has been added for those who want to try running the half marathon distance without actually running the whole 21km. I have been told there will be sleeveless running tops for 2014. Apart from that the run basically remains the same. Do visit their website next week for the latest information. Click

I am a runner from Sabah...would love to join this run! But am wondering, will there be Finisher T-Shirts for the 21k for every finisher? Would surely be more worth it and attractive if it does! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for your interest. Last year several runners from Sabah did join, including your best runner, Fabian Osmond Daimon. Unfortunately I have been told that only the top 50 finishers will received t-shirts.
ReplyDeleteoh man! what a bummer!...finisher T only for the top 50 finishers? it surely wont encourage slower runners like me and a whole bunch of us to join this event if that's the case...they should give finisher T for every finisher just like the Brooks Marathon in KL
ReplyDeleteThat reminds me I don't have a finisher t-shirt in yellow. Hopefully when the Kuching Marathon comes along and all the full marathon finishers get a dri-fit finisher t-shirt maybe things will change. As for now we in Kuching can only be grateful that we have a HM to run.
ReplyDeletei heard about this run from a friend who joined this year, and was looking forward to joining it in 2014, but the limited number of finisher T really puts me off as i am not a very fast runner...hope they will consider changing that to encourage more runners like me to join...i am from Sabah and imagine having traveled so far for a run but not get a finisher T even though finishing time is decent...
ReplyDeleteFor Kuching Marathon, that is an event i will definitely not miss!! have booked everything already!
The half marathon at Spring is an open category run. Meaning young and old run together. The cut off this year was 3 hours. Only 50 top finisher t-shirts are given. This of course benefits the faster runner. Hopefully they will make it even more attractive for runners in 2015.
