Four Races = Four Medals = One really BIG Medal
Have never run the NM Galaxy Run Series or the Penang Run Series for that matter. However I understand why people like to do so. Imagine collecting all four medals in the series - 12km, 15km, 18km and 21km to form one really big medal. Have seen the joy in runners faces when they hold up the completed medal. We in Kuching have our own Momentum Run Series (15km, 18km, 21km, 25km), and having participated in it, I too know now how it feels. However we can always learn something from other runs. For me the really cool thing about NM Galaxy Run is that they also cater for 5km and 10km runners. These runners also get medals. However the medals are different with each series run. So they too can collect medals. It's just that they cannot join them together to max one big run. For me that is rather fair since not everyone runs the longer distances. So runners have a choice to participate in whatever distance they one and not feel left out.
Series four will be held on 30th November 2014 at Taman Tasik Cyberjaya, Selangor. Am positive there are those who are eagerly awaiting the chance to run the fourth series and get that final 21km medal. What's more the runner will also get a finisher t-shirt. How cool is that?
