12km Trail Run
The Port Dikson Back to Nature Trail Run 2014 will soon be open for registration at myraceonline.com. This time the trail running which takes place at a brand new route located at Sungai Menyala Forest Reserve, Port Dickson. The distance is roughly 12km. The event is organised by Lembaga Pelancongan Negeri Sembilan, in co-operation with Majlis Perbandaran Negeri Sembilan, Jabatan Perhutanan Negeri Sembilan, and supported by Visit Malaysia Year 2014. The event is managed by MountDesign Outdoor, and technical support is provided by Explore Adventure. The sponsors include: Columbia, World of Sport, Newton Running, Coleman, Perskindol, Yeo's, Running Malaysia Magazine and Koko Sense.The event will be held from 8am to 12 noon on 8th June 2014. The venue as stated above is at Sungai Menyala Forest Reserve, Port Dickson (GPS Coordinate : Latitude : 2.474167 | Longitude : 101.918611). The event targets 1000 runners. Closing date is 31st May 2014 or 1000 runners in total (whichever comes first). Registration fees are RM60 for adults and RM40 for juniors. International participants (adults) need to pay RM90. Runners entitlement include: event t-shirt, bib number, finisher medal, refreshment and medical support. Only online registration and payment can be made. There will be no race day registration.
As part of MountDesign Outdoor ongoing community service efforts, every RM2.00 from registration fees will be channeled in to charity. There will be a drink station along the route at approximately every 4 KM. Drink station also will be available at the finishing line. There will also be a lucky draw.
